this is so weird.

almost 2 years ago, i made my last xanga entry. and i haven't thought about it since.
until today...when xanga came up in 3 separate conversations.
so i decided to test it out to see if this place even still existed. and it does. who knew?
i don't know how to navigate it. but i figure its worth another go.

A Collision

staying up till 3, sleeping in till 1, and making a meal of ramen = the defining characteristics of a college student.
tis a marvel and a wonder...

halfway through the semester...im finding that what they say is true - time flies when youre having fun. or maybe its when youre stressed to the max and have a workload heavy enough to make you think "i wonder what would happen if i threw myself out the window..."
either way, time continues to fly by as i'm forced to remember to make the most of the present and be thankful for all that i have.

im excited about the upcoming year. as new opportunities abound, i cant help but anticipate something wonderful...
im looking forward to the opportunities to develop new relationships and nurture current ones as i serve on the RA staff next school year.
im excited about spending more time with my sister as she moves 5 hours closer to me.
i anticipate the opportunities that will present themselves as i look for a new church this summer.
i cant wait to see what i have to look forward to during my first semester as a business major.
i pray that i will be a positive influence in the lives of the kids i will be coming into contact with as my parents follow their calling to take in foster children.
im excited about watching those around me mature into unbelievable men and women who will change the world.
i cant wait to see what God is going to teach me next.

new opportunities abound, friends...whether we realize it or not.
take advantage of the potential you have to make an impact in the world around you.
allow God to affect others through your life.
live purposefully.

here it comes...
a beautiful collision is happening now...

$200 car repairs = a hole straight through the bank account of an already broke college kid. what the heck are alternators for, anyways? that blasted escort...

last weekend i was privileged enough to attend my home district's teen winter retreat.  i do believe a good time was had by all. although every spare second this week has been spent catching up on sleep...take, for instance, the 2.5 hr nap that i thoroughly enjoyed today...i would say it was well worth the lack of rest. besides, i got to hang with some cool kids...not to mention these fellas...

if you want some good worship music, check these boys out...http://www.myspace.com/twoorthree

i was also able to obtain some of this liquid gold...

...as well as these tasty treats from the momster...

...only the essentials, of course...

this next month will bring many more opportunities to further bury myself in debt, as i will be attending an emery/anberlin show, followed by mae & lovedrug less than a week later.  good news, friends...good news...

i end this post on a happy note...directing your attention towards the website for the reason i wake up on tuesday mornings: refuge... http://www.refugeworship.com

go. learn something new. be amazed.

The Chronicles of Narnia Boxed Set

2+ months without an update = a testament to the hectic and chaotic stuff that is life.
however, life is good. have no doubt about that.

college equals heaven, basically. tis a thrilling and wonderful thing to realize that there's a real world outside of life in smalltown, ohio.  refreshing, really.

since experiencing the motion picture wonder that is the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe, i have rapidly been making my way through the literary series known as the chronicles of narnia. these pieces of art are pretty much changing my life. seriously. tis a curious thing to find a college student with her nose stuck in a book over christmas break, but i am thoroughly enjoying myself nevertheless.

christmastime is here. i have found myself in the very good company of family and friends, which has caused me to open my eyes, count my blessings, and discover again that God is good.

merry christmas, friends. may this season find you in good spirits and hearts full of thanks.

did you know that you would move me? did you know?
did you know how you would move me? well, i dont even think so.
